Depends on your use case. All the minis before the mini 3 pro are basically high-end toys. Essentially flying cell phone cameras. You'll get fine images but nothing special.
Of course, if you never intend to get your commercial drone license (which you'll need for ANY flying that would or could be done for compensation, even if you're not being compensated - yes, this includes filming for your YouTube channel) then there's no reason to splurge on a drone with a better camera. You'll have plenty of fun with one of these, but I'd just get a mini se for $300.
Btw the 47 min flight time is not the standard flight time with the Mini 3 pro, that's with the more expensive extended batteries that push the weight of the drone into registration-required weight.
And, of course, you can't actually buy the mini 3 pro and have it right now.. they aren't shipping until closer to July which is half the summer in some parts of the country!
Conversely, save $450 and learn to fly the right way instead of relying on obstacle avoidance.
You have to maintain line-of-sight with your drone while flying, no reason you should hit things unless you're not paying attention. Beginners should be learning in a large, open field, with nothing to hit for hundreds of yards.
I never use obstacle avoidance and I fly a 4 lb drone.

I finally called in to see why my digital card was not showing up in my email. The number was buried in the FAQ: 1-888-668-9668. They couldn't resolve it from their end but was able to give me my shop card number, which I'll bring to my local Costco to have them transfer it to a physical card. Hopefully that works out but glad to have resolved it

with costco membership.
Also, some one probably pondering this same thing: Should I get mini 3 instead?
min 3 Pro (with RC-N1 controller, the one without screen) + SD card - bag = $789
that's $449.01 difference, enough to buy one more mini 2
Lose: better sensor, better avoidance, can use larger battery (47 vs 34), etc
I am going to buy this one and use the remote for future upgrade to mini 3.
