Cheapest new RX 6800 XT online right now. This is an AMD reference board with a custom cooler (just like the ones used in Dell / HP / Lenovo / etc prebuild PCs). It's an OEM design meant to go inside the Sonnet eGPU boxes, so I believe they come in plain brown boxes.

Same price at Amazon, but I can't post the link because it's technically from a 3rd party seller (even though it's the actual manufacturer, Sonnet Technologies).

ETH mining about to be obsolete plus with LHR unlocks on NVIDIA there is literally 0 buy pressure on AMD cards. Lower end AMD cards are already MSRP or lower. This will be below MSRP within 2 weeks.
Now if only car prices can also come down.
And lose money, crypto is dead for the time being!

I think the 6800xt will still be in demand, AMD is not selling them anymore, and the 50 series cards are less value

6800XT at MSRP was/is a great deal (comparatively to the past two years). If I had my choice between a 3080 at $699 and a 6800XT at $649, I think it would be a very tough decision given the 3080's raytracing capacity. The 16GB of VRAM seems to cement that the card will age better, but if ray tracing and upscaling (FSR/DLSS) are the future, it might make more sense to get a 3080.

AMD doesn't sell the reference model anymore, so getting one at MSRP or lower should be the goal.

Yes, we all know new models are coming and if you haven't been under a rock for the last two and a half years, you should also expect there to be supply issues. So, complaining about how overpriced everything is, we all understand, but this is the world we live in, not the world where high end video cards used to top out at $600.

Is this backward compatible— so that it will work with a PCIe 3.0 slot .

Where did my comment go from this thread??

I'll state it again: Only a 2 year warranty on a fairly unknown brand. Be cautious.

Refurbished mine cards, not necessarily a bad thing though, as long as the price is good

except the 6800xt is insanely efficient still with compared to LHR and still is the best value FPS to USD. This is a great deal and the 6800xt will not be available for 649.99 or less in 2 weeks.
