Worth noting about warranty...
Amazon is authorized KEF reseller, but not sure if that fully extends to Woot
And the warranty is listed as 2 years on all the Woot pages...
But the passive speakers should have 5 year warranty.
Not sure if that's an error, or the most warranty you will get through Woot
much better product than the typical SD sponsored speaker advertisements seen here. but since it is not sponsored it won't get much attention.
Thanks. Just ordered them.

Tempting to test out some KEF products but I don't even trust buying clothes or electronics from Woot! anymore let alone speakers. It's just not worth rolling the dice with them. I'm still kind of shocked that they even have KEF products available. Hopefully it works out for anyone ordering

Mine got delivered today. It was delivered in an Amazon truck. Its new and came in retail box.
Great deal, I just sold one of my weekend cars I no longer need for $40k over what I paid for it2 months ago. I went and ordered the KEF Blade two as well.
Cheers!
one of the few times cars don't depreciate in value
I am a KEF fan and I own KEF Q350s. KEF is a british brand, but never knew it was aquired by a Chinese company. I was thinking about buying more KEF speakers. Looks like I'll have to look elsewhere.

Woot is owned by Amazon, and orders are fulfilled by Amazon (most of the times). Except the return policy, I don't see why it would be a problem.

Yes, they are owned by Amazon and they process some products through their fulfillment centers but don't mistake Woot! as being the same as Amazon. They were actually a decent site until Amazon's acquisition. Nowadays, it just seems like Amazon uses them as a way to pass lower-grade products, returns/refurbs, and counterfeit clothing out of their inventory and warehouses. I have grown to see them as if Amazon and Wish had a baby, it would be Woot!
It could be a good site again but Amazon saw an opportunity and a use for a website that was on the rise and took advantage of it. I don't think they ever intended to overhaul it but that's what needs to happen.
I've had experience with them before and after Amazon's acquisition and there is definitely a difference. I just don't roll the dice anymore. For me personally, my experiences have come to the point where using their service just isn't worth the headache. I know plenty of people have good experiences too so my opinion is purely based on my experiences. Like I said, I hope this works out for anyone looking to buy.
I bought the LS50'S because I've liked them so many times in many different rooms and I felt that was a great testament. Good that you have the sub. You need it with LS50's (active or passive). FYI if you're not already aware, they are better at low and medium volume listening in smaller and medium rooms. If you like to listen louder, or in a bigger room, I would suggest the R3.
Low to med volume level is exactly what I need. That was an important point I should've made. There are many great speakers out there but so few that keep their fidelity at lower volume levels! I'm currently using a pair of Q Acoustics Concept 40s, primarily because they sound so good at low-med volumes but feeling the need for change. There is something still missing with the Concept 40s. Maybe it's the center channel which is a Chane A2.4. It's a great speaker but maybe not the right one for the Q Acoustics.

Even I've used Woot before Amazon's acquisition. I never had any issues before and after. Maybe I got lucky. But good to know negative experiences. I'll be careful in the future. Cheers!

It's even better to hear people having positive experiences. Thanks for the feedback. The more positive retailers there are, the better off the consumers are. Maybe I'll give them another shot if I keep hearing good things.

FYI despite saying 'new' on the page, when my ls50 arrived, in a cardboard box with amazon sticker on it saying "Thanks to you, this product has a second life - Amazon Renewed" WTF.
edit: i watched a 'new' unboxing video....yeah the unit I received did not come in original packaging at all.

It's this kind of crap that makes me steer clear of Woot!

Sorry to hear that happened to you. I'm trying to keep an open mind for the future but I don't buy from Woot! anymore after too many bad experiences and feedback like yours.
