The first wave of DualSense controllers have many reports with issues. They have an FCC ID that ends in the number 1, whereas the FCC ID on the redesigned controllers ends in the letter A. 1A has been seen on right side bottom of the box, usually on the newer colors.

Have had PS5 since day1 with two controllers rev1, same for my two cousins - zero issues with dual sense so far
Congrats, my first controller was the same way. I didn't have any issues too but Sony had issues so bad that there was a class action lawsuit against them. It was all over the internet.
