Conventional portable generators deliver higher output than the inverter types. However, the result you get from inverter technology is a cleaner power delivery that adjusts up and down according to load, with minimal harmonic distortion.
This makes inverter generators very suitable for sensitive devices like mobile phones, LED televisions, audio equipment and laptops, as they prevent overheating and overload.
The lower output of inverter generators can also be doubled by connecting two generators through a parallel connection.
The main difference between a generator and an inverter
When compared to conventional portable generators, inverter units provide the following benefits:
Less distortion due to cleaner voltage.
Greater fuel efficiency due to lower fuel requirements.
Lower carbon emissions, making them more eco-friendly.
Smaller size and lighter weight, making them easy to transport.
Quieter operation.
In terms of purchase cost, inverter generators tend to be pricier than conventional ones in the same power range, due to their more complex technology.
However, this can be offset by their lower operating costs and other benefits.
When would you use an inverter generator?
Inverter generators are often a popular choice for situations where power requirements are relatively low (e.g. compared to a full-size house) and where quiet operation and portability are important.
I didn't need this generator, but this is the lowest price I have ever seen for any inverter generator in this size, even no name inverter generators this size aren't usually this cheap.
This may be the best price you will ever see for one of these, this is a crazy clearance price it makes me think there is a new model coming and they are probably clearing stock of the old one to make way for the newer model.
I paid more than this for 2000w inverter generators when I wasn't in the position to wait for a sale.

I live in a neighborhood with houses close around and I can tell you that I can't hear it running from inside my house with a window A/C going. This is with the muffler pointed to the neighbors who didn't pay their share of our shared fence replacement. I will be pointing it to their house when a hurricane rolls through and knocks out power for a couple days.
Planning to use for this AC in the camper when boondocking.
Drill into your cars gas tank?
Keep 5 gallons in your passenger seat?
I don't know, but I know gas likes to be kept warm by a fireplace.

I run all that and more plugged in all the time on a smaller generator than this.
I just thought your question was funny, and responded in kind.
In the case of a major earthquake cutting off natural gas in Calif., you could run on either gasoline (which can be flown in if oil and gasoline pipelines and refineries go down) or propane.
I still have not bought a triple-fuel kit for my ancient Yamaha generator. Gotta do that ASAP.
You can also buy the cheaper but thinner metal Gelg jerry cans but they aren't as nicely welded as the Valpro/Wavian ones. They are airtight, though, so they are good enough for long-term storage.
Rotate the gasoline once every six months and you will not need Stabil gasoline additive.
You will only need two 20L (5 gallon) jerry cans for this size of generator. That much gas should last you a couple of weeks if you ration it properly (in other words, don't run the generator 24-7, don't try to run too much on it). If you buy more than two jerry cans, great, but you absolutely have to make sure you rotate the gas properly over time.
