11th gen Intel in the lenovo is only 4-core cpu - obsolete.
This year's 12th gen Intel have 10-14 cores, 12 in the $899 hp linked.
So, if you're not doing much with your computer - web, office, watch videos - lenovo is fine.
But if you're running it hard, multitasking a lot, etc, the Lenovo is instantly obsolete for the future and you'd be far better off looking for and buying a 12th gen Alder Lake Intel cpu.
Personally, dumping everything old this year to upgrade to Alder Lakes because it's simply So Damn Fast, even M1 macbooks can't run faster than an Alder Lake.

Most games are not cpu limited, but rather gpu limited, so as long as you can hook up a 3070 and the thermals of the laptop don't suck, picky to be ok.
Maybe a laptop gaming base fan.
See if Notebookcheck.net has a review on this or similar for thermals.
100%. I'm one of these folks and I'm not alone!

It's a huge stretch to call this obsolete. 4 core / 8 threads and it will run anything you throw at it, including tons of multitasking. Just as fast as a professional laptop workstation from a few years ago that still runs fine. Regardless, this is a 3lb ultrabook, nobody is 'running it hard' with cpu intensive tasks.
