However, please note this model does NOT have the wifi PID, just the regular digital PID. Deal breaker for me to upgrade my old PG24DLX.

I have the previous generation of this grill... the assembly is no big deal... mostly attaching the legs and handles... the main unit is already pre-assembled...

Just received mine and Amazon's assembly team wasn't able to complete the install due to defective parts on the welding.

Just received mine as well. Didn't get the assembly because it was days out. Put together in 45 minutes no major issues. Smoking baby back ribs as I type...
I can tell I am going to love this thing! Also got a smoke tube for extra smoky goodness! Stick Out Tongue

I sure am jelly! It looked like an easy install, but the welding was just done poorly on this unit and wouldn't have worked without doing some serious drilling into the metal.

Hopefully I can get a replacement by the end of the week!

On a side note, are the camo chef branded covers worth the extra cost? They are double the cost of the knock offs but will pay it off it's worth it

Would like to add this.

My 1yr old smoker has developed some surface rust. Its under a cover when not in use, and the rust looks like its from the grease dripping downt he front which I would think would be an additional sorce of protection but I guess not.

I emailed Camp Chef about it, and they issued me a check for $250 - they also offered for me to return it. They directed me to a can of BBQ temp rated spray paint for $10 as well. Im fine with that seeing as how I got the smoker for about $260 now. Will buy another!

Exceptional service....

I think you can upgrade yours with wifi for 199 they have the wifi pid Amazon

very true, or I could just sell my older smoker for ~$200 and use that towards a brand new smoker. Based on the reviews though, the Camp Chef PID isnt great.
