FWIW, I just finished a large and fairly complex ceramic tile kitchen backsplash using this exact saw and found it to be a very good tool. Makes fast, clean cuts. Some reviews recommended replacing stock blade with a "higher quality" one but I saw no reason to whatsoever. Only drawback I found was in the mitre fence. For some reason, I could never get it to fasten in place tightly. I ended up ditching it and using one of those small plastic triangular framing squares clamped to the table. For the price I would jump on this if you have a need.

I almost always use porcelain tile so I would expect that I will be replacing the blade.

How do you get home depot to come up as an option when using bing?

Boo.. that stinks. I'm in the same boat with ~$300 in GC.

Gift card FAQ [homedepot.com]

I could use this saw, but there is no place to enter gift cards when checking out. I have over $1k of them and don't want to spend money out of my pocket. I called the local HD, and they said returning it in store and rebuying it with gift cards wouldn't work.

For those wondering, Bing CB offer of 3-6% comes up as 3% once you complete the order. My CB is $4.20.

Yeah, but won't that ultimately be refused due to the $10 coupon code?

The motor looks suspiciously like most chinese angle grinder motors that sound like they are going to tear itself apart at any second.

Can people who have used this comment on the idling sound...... i.e. does it just hum or do you hear a big racket? My cheapo $100 just hums.

The arm and side bracket appear to be metal. Is that correct or is it plastic?

The fix maybe easier than you think.

This behavior is typical of something that just doesn't know the lyrics.
