I have the Evanston. I love the screened in porch. Big enough for a couple camping chairs if you want to avoid bugs. Nice overall tent. None of these are for hiking of course. All heavy.

I bought the evanston dome 6 person tent on an Amazon prime day back in 2018 but different color. We still use it on our twice a year during summer camping trips. It will keep you dry during heavy rains and has enough ventilation to keep you cool on hot and humid nights. We haven't had a leak on ours yet *knock on wood* But it's a must have and lets us use an air mattress.
Yes, I admit, we're like glamping with it even with a tiny battery powered fan.
I bought the 4 and 6 person instant tents in 2014 on Amazon for slightly less $69.99/$99.99.
For what they are, they are amazing. Not practical for backpacking or if you have to trek into your campsite but for car camping they are wonderful. One person can set it up I literally less than 3 minutes.
I would highly recommend the rain-fly add-on if you want to stay dry, or learn how to be efficient at putting up a tarp as rain cover.
Yeah was looking into the instant one...but no included fly cover. Heard the integrated one isnt great at all, most recommend buying the add-on.
Totally agree. Just a way to make it seem cheaper or less work, but a real fly is super important. It would be fine if I was just camping in my backyard and new it wasn't going to rain.
I've had a huge Coleman instant tent from Costco for years. It's held up well, absolute game changer for setting up and taking down
I just got the 6 person Core instant tent from Costco and ready to usr it this weekend. I did try it out on the deck and I didn't stake it, put a tarp for a foot print under it, or put the fly on, but the general setup was so dang easy.
Last time we went to scout camp we got there and my son was like "okay I am going to go do things. And there were me and other parents setting up our tents by ourselves (we did help each other) but it was still a pain. So I told myself next time I am getting an instant tent so I can do this on my own and quickly.
We have a 6 person coleman instant that's several years old. Looking to upgrade to a 10 person instant.
I have the 6 person as well and just ordered the 10 person. I also had the 4 person instant previously. Both have been great but with 2 adults, 1 kid and 2 dogs on airbeds/cots the 6 person was getting small.

10 person instant is on sale @ $209.99 that is a great steal, hasn't been that low since mid-2020. This will be my 3rd Coleman Instant, love them for car camping. Capacity is more like stated divided by 2 so the 10 person is probably good for 2 adults and 3 kids.
FYI the 6 person instant is on sale for 51% off ($97.70) and has the rainfly accessory in stock and on sale for a historically low price as well ($29.99)
The review from "Eric" claims it only fits the "tent" not the "cabin" but the images (and a quick search) confirm there isn't a differing product.
6-Person instant+rainfly was the way to go for me. Thank you for posting.
I love love love love my Coleman instant tent for car camping .. have had it for years was perfect for my Honda Fit and now my Toyota Tacoma. I have had multiple chances to buy a good roof top tent , gizel, Nemo etc but have not felt a need to with such an amazing tent .. this is a great price
Just pulled the trigger on the 10 person instant. Our 6 person Coleman instant tent is 7 yrs old and still in good shape. Hope Coleman quality is as good as before.
i guess the 10 person comes with a rainfly..hmm, now i have something to think about.
Yeah, that looks like a different product line. It is a dark room tent too. I don't need it at all, but that 10 person model is very tempting.
I bought the Core 6 because I have some larger tents already and when it is just me and my son + gear they were too big. The 6 is just right size. But if the entire family goes.... trying to resist.
Oh and Costco in store has a Core that looks similar to this Coleman. But I think it is $240. I know that is higher, but good chance they might discount it heavily as the season progresses. Things like the tents, paddle boards, tend to hit the mark downs since not everyone is in the market for one. But coolers and chairs anybody can use.

I have had the larger version of the instant tent, which I purchased 3-4 years ago from Costco. It is easy for one person to set up and take down. The only problem is stuffing it back into the included storage bag.
