Added 5 months for Apple Music, as I've had a free trial before. It added a full 6 months of Apple News+, which I've never done a trial of before.

Make sure to go into settings > Apple Id (click your name at the top) > subscriptions and then click on each free trial you start, and at the bottom click "cancel subscription." You'll still get the same free trial length, it just won't auto renew (and charge you) at the end.

Is there a way to turn off auto-renew when the trial ends? It seems like it used to be a function but not anymore. Now it just has the cancel subscription as a choice or I just cannot seem to find the right setting or menu.

Doesn't work redeeming thru phone and when doing thru browser it says 1month free and 5 Months redeemed.

However it says it will start billing in 12/2022. This is correct?

Yes, that means you are getting 6 months free total. It is 5 months for returning customers and if you are a new customer, you get that extra month free. The 1 month is standard for all new customers and the 5 months is the free add on that you are getting from the Best Buy deal.

I kept getting the error redeeming code, but noticed the address bar (on desktop) :
https://music.apple.com/redeem/?c...XXXXXXXXXX

so I logged into apple music with my apple ID, went to account settings, clicked "redeem code," and entered the code (the XXXXXXXXXXXX)

Worked for me.

Anyone got the email from the Best Buy after order was confirmed? I was able to place the order today and on best buy it's says email sent with instructions. I didn't got any!

If you previously used such offer you'll need to go a month or couple of months without service to re-qualify for these new user trials, I just swap back and forth with Spotify and Apple Music. Other way is to switch account or create new but that's too much work.

If anyone is interested...

I casually listen to 90s hiphop but mostly listen to classical music.
I like specific artists and specific pieces of music that I like to follow / compare and listen. For example, different variations of Rachmaninoff sonata, or Après une lecture du Dante: Fantasia quasi Sonata by liszt played by different people playing different versions of the same piece.
I was surprised that apple music has pretty extensive list of classical music. Well worth the try.
