I used to be a dissenter of the iPad mini line. Why would you want such a small screen?
That was before I realized that iPads aren't necessarily all to be used in the same fashion. 9.7in (now 10.2) and above always feel natural to me in a portrait or vertical grip. The mini, I now use in a landscape or horizontal grip 90% of the time. This way It gives the experience of a larger screen for reading and browsing the web without the extra bulk of the larger iPads. I love my mini 6 and would recommend it above most other models, if your uses are similar to mine (web browsing, email, video watching, etc…)
Also the whole 'jelly scrolling' doesn't happen horizontally, only vertically so it doesn't seem like an issue imo, it's inconsequential to my uses.
