I would say OK if you want to dual purpose but dedicated UPS is going to offer a lot more features. Straight from their website:
"It can be an emergency power source (EPS), which will have the same result as UPS for most electronics. Here's the difference. When your RIVER is plugged into the wall, anything plugged into it gets power from the grid, not its battery. If power from the grid stops, RIVER automatically switches to its battery supply mode within 30 milliseconds. That means anything connected will not have power for 30 milliseconds, which may mean sensitive electronics like desktop computers and data servers turn off. Test your devices individually to see if they need UPS to stay powered."

Sounds like you're suggesting daisy-chaining UPS and this power station. Daisy-chaining UPSes isn't recommended:

Thank you and repped, this is super informative. I am trying to use it for my POE Switch that powers my cameras. For some reason, they fail over when we lose power and need to manually reconnect them. I think UPS will be a better option.

A way to get around the momentary power loss would be to use a smaller UPS between this device and the devices you're powering. Benefits of both. No idea if this will cause a different issue though.

The battery add-on is also on sale for $180

EDIT:
I got one of the older deals with the allstate warranty for $185.
I've depleted the battery twice now and charged back up with no issues.

Biggest complaint was app setup. Took many failures of the same process to finally go through.
Updated firmware though with no issue.

I have 3 of these units (along with a River Mini and River Plus) and love them. Got 1 brand new, 1 from eBay used (random seller), and recently a refurbished one from eBay (EcoFlow store). The refurbished one came in excellent condition.

Aside from the aesthetic and seemingly solid quality build, I love the XT65 connection to use with my solar panels, fast wall charging ability (0-80% in 1 hour I believe), and especially the smart features. Using the app, you can see the charging status, current in/out Wattage for each port, but most importantly, you can set the max charge limit % to help prolong battery life. It's great to be able to see how much are you getting from your solar panels using the app inside the house vs having to run out to check the display.

I haven't owned these for that long, but haven't experienced any quality issues yet. I charge them all using solar panels. One of them, I use to charge my small electronics frequently so I can test the long-term quality.

This is a GREAT price!
