Mine is 4 years old, so it might have changed, but I just went into the service technician part of the menu and it was really easy. I see posts now saying that you need a service remote, but that was not the case for mine. I reset the one I took back to best buy, just to see if it was possible.

Never will happen at least not with inflation and those technologies doesn't exist to purchase now.

No tax or shipping. 55 brand new from there is about the same as this refurbished. 77 inch is about 400 more via verdetoe but I'd probably go that route over a refurb
