Cool, I purchased this unit late last month and it arrived two weeks ago - time for a $150 price adjustment.
Far as the unit goes, I have it in my second floor master bedroom (225 SF) blasting into my loft area where I typically work from home and need a little relief as the loft gets toasty. The bedroom quickly cools even in the "low" setting. My work desk is about 28' from the unit and I can feel the cool air from the unit, the area is really open so I didn't expect the Midea unit to work well but it does bring temps down about 2 degrees at my desk (about 500 SF open layout) which is enough until I get a mini split or another Midea for this area as summer goes on.
I've had a Kill-a-watt attached to the unit for several days, in 218 hrs it's used 51 kWh (my usage is erratic) . On high it does range between 1100-1200 W, and on Medium it's in the 800W range, 500W on low.
Noise - It's not the quietest thing, but on "LOW" a decibel meter app on my phone reads 43 dBat 2 ft from the fan, on "HIGH" it's at 56 dB. Not disruptive enough to cause issue at night.
Install - The window attachments are pretty low quality. Can't believe there's no better solution than slotted plastic panels you put together with plastic pins. And then the hose attachment to said panels is equally terrible, little plastic tabs that anytime you bump the unit they dislodge from the panels.
Overall in two weeks it has performed well for what I needed - reduce the need for Central air cooling just to cool certain areas in my 2nd floor without splurging on a mini split.
Duo hose(2in1 design), the Danby version is also on sale for $50 more, I read it's basically the same machine
This is cool .

Mine showed P1 code every couple hours, which required stopping the unit, drain the bottom, and restarting. I then used the provided hose to the top drainage into a bottle, and there has been less P1 code, maybe 1 every couple days, but the top drainage pushes out water a lot, about 1 gallon every 5 or 6 hours. I think I got a defective unit. Will try to exchange it for another to see if it still happens.

I ordered mine on 5/3. I was able to get a price adjustment through chat. At first they said I was out of the 30 day window. I reminded them that I can just do a return and rebuy. Also that Costco will be paying to ship the new unit to me and the old unit back and it is almost 90lbs, which I imagine is very expensive. After that, they said they will give me the adjustment instead.

I kinda feel like Costco is going to have to change their policy on returns sooner or later. There is no way that the annual membership fees are enough to cover the cost of getting all kinds of crap returned constantly. Other stores like REI used to have very generous return/replace policies as well but after people kept bringing in used equipment they had to kill the program.

Mine rattles a lot, but it works very well. I would still go ductless mini-split if you don't need the portability, but at $400 this is hard to beat. I usually turn it off after a few minutes on low because I'm cold, but it's only an upstairs, south-facing 125sqft bedroom.
My plan is to go to ductless, but that requires more planning and work including hiring an electrician if you want to do it right. In our house it actually feels pretty comfortable on the first floor so long as temps are below 90F, but we work upstairs where it gets pretty stuffy at 85F. The nice thing about these portables is that we can just roll them into a closet when summer ends - it's nice not to have to carry a heavy window unit and shove it into/pull it from a window. They're also upright instead of being wide like the window units so a little easier to if you don't feel like stacking a bunch of stuff and digging it out every season.

Yeah, it really is too bad how often people abuse generous return policies. Unless there is a functional defect or clear issue with a product I've purchased, I morally have a hard time returning things for less critical reasons, especially high priced items. Many people seem to go nuts with it.

Everyone who just joined Costco through Groupon can use $40 discount online purchase and $50 shop card through executive membership as well as 2% cash back by Costco Citi Visa card to save the most after downgrading to the Costco gold membership to receive executive membership refund $60. The spending is $310 plus tax as well as additional up to 2 years extended warranty. $150 off ends on 6/24. If you are not satisfied with the product, just bring it to the store or send it back by free shipping. Save money during 2022 inflation.

How does this work as a dehumidifier? Or is that just a given feature for any AC unit? Currently have a dehumidifier in the basement where floor space is limited. My windows aren't big enough for a 12k BTU unit (I purchased the previous 12k BTU window Midea unit posted here last month) so perhaps this is my next best option but would rather not waste even more floor space. Would this replace my dehumidifier as well? Does it have a water tank?

It pulls ~11.9 amps at 115v, so roughly 1300-1400 watts peak. It's fine on a 15 amp as long as the circuit isn't already loaded down.

Can someone please explain the water situation with this unit. How do you handle the water that's condensed out of the air while it cooling?
