I did not like these. Had a strange/hard texture and didn't taste that great. I prefer slim Jim's or the cut pieces of jerky. This reminded me of dog treats

Even back in the day, i.e. 70s or whenever, a lot of Argentinian beef was coming in. My roomie was a butcher and said they brought in what was called "frozen cow". The sides would get defrosted and were mainly ground up for hamburger. The meat was real lean so they would take the fat from sirloin and other cuts to add to it to get the fat content up and taste.
