AWESOME. Picked-up as a backup AC with use for a standalone generator. Amazon comments show 500-900 watts of draw, which is better than I thought it would be.

Do you know much it is for 12k BTU version, I am looking at Amazon comments and it's so confusing lol. I also need to get it for Hurricane power outage but will run using Ecoflow/Bluetti so if wattage is too high it's gonna drain battery of it quickly.

For a limited time, Costco has the Hisense equivalent 8000 btu window AC unit for $190 (with a $40 instant discount). I didn't catch how long the discount is for. I picked one up and it works great.

I got the 12,000 btu deal from Costco a few weeks back. It was $280, but it isn't the U-shaped version. I've been super happy with the operation of the unit and the native Midea app is pleasantly functional. Smart schedule on a window unit is really nice!

The most I've seen my 12k pull is near 1200 watts and I think that's about the max.

I have 4 of these (between 8-12K BTUs) in different rooms and they work amazing. Very quiet, I can watch TV/Movies no issues in the living room and still cool the room. Definitely recommend.

Unless you mean the Danby that is not a U shaped unit

Heads up that these likely will not work on a GFCI-protected circuit. I only discovered that after spending forever installing the 12,000 BTU version and digging around various message boards. Otherwise I liked it though for the 2 minutes it would work before tripping an upstream outlet.
