Yes, everyone has $2K+ to drop on a guitar.

I bought one of these a couple years ago and it really is a fun guitar. Don't let the bullet line discourage you. It plays really well and sounds great too. I really didn't need to do anything to it except for use a little 0000 steel wool on the back of the neck as it had some rough spots. The scale length is great for people with small hands or young beginners.

Why buy a house, buy a mansion instead.

Spend the 2k for a decent axe with a case and be over it.Like the old Fram ad "you can pay me now or pay me later"

This isn't a value preposition. It's a capable first or around the house guitar. Plays good, built well, sounds good.

Thanks. Price matched to Best Buy.
How did you price match to Best Buy? I couldn't find any Squier guitars on the BestBuy website (or in my local BestBuy store). Thanks!

Great line of guitars. Jimmy Hendrix started on a Squire. Lots of YouTube videos how to sand the frets with various grades of sanding blocks to mimic the best guitars. It has the bones, just needs a little TLC.
Yes, Jimmi Hendrix whom died in 1970 started with a Squier, which is a brand that did not make any guitars until 1982, 12 years after he died. /s

All the people saying to get a better guitar or you won't play it unless you pay to get it setup etc are delusional. I learned to play on an 80s Korean made Squire II, that had a piece of an aluminun can in the nut as a shim and never had a setup and I had zero issues playing or staying in tune. Cheap guitars like this are great for beginners or if you want a guitar you can take around and not worry about getting dinged. I own an American Fender Strat and I have played much cheaper mexican, chinese or indonesian made instruments that play and feel as good as my American guitar. While they may not hold value like a higher end instrument, that's absolutely no reason to dissuade anyone from something like this.

I bought one of these from Musiciansfriend for my 10yo son. It's great. He was struggling with the full size squire strat he had because of the scale length. He's a small dude so this 24" scale length is helping him reach those cowboy cords. Money well spent!

24.5 scale length is not the mini, it's full size. I don't like the Mini's.

Once it's time (for most) to get a real guitar, then get a full one. There are types to fit the individual.
