I ported to Cricket several years back when they had the 5/100 deal. Over the years, they had several good deals on their locked phones, I've used them for 6 months and they become unlocked. I think the best deal several years back was from Best buy where I brought a cricket sim card, $40 prepaid refill, and a cheap dumb nokia phone. I would return the sim card used the refill and sold the nokia phone at ebay. heck, this was one of the better deals,

Many people are upset because they are no cancelling the grandfathered 5/100 deal. In my circle, I have one person who uses little data and another person who uses alot of data. So Cricket don't really have family plans that cater to this but offer everybody the same plan like one size fits all model.

Their pricing model is stupid, with right now the best deal is the 4/100 deal where everybody gets unlimited data while 4 people on their 10gb/month plan will be $110.

I used to get excited about Kroger prepaid deals, but recently I tried to refill, I wasn't able to refill using my name but I was able to purchase it using my wife's name.

I had the cricket 5/100 grandfathered plan but recently they are cancelling it. I still have a few months of credit that I purchased least year when they had the 15% off and I am going to get away from this. I don't use alot of data, probably so I am looking for cheaper plans like mint mobile in a few months.

Mint or Boost looks solid if you don't need any new devices.

Same here, thinking about switching away from Cricket after my credit is used up. Would be curious to see what other ppl are using.

I have the 5 lines/$100 plan but pay an extra $20/month for one line with unlimited high speed data. I have not seen where Cricket is canceling my plan. My bill for next month is still $120!! Where are people getting the information about Cricket canceling out the grandfathered 5 lines/$100?

OK, interesting. Thanks for the info.

I'm always amazed too about stupid pricing structures like you mention here that happen with other companies too. I always think, and so many execs and high level employees make that amount of money and operate the business like this??? smh

At least I'm glad the reason you aren't happy with Cricket is due to network reasons. Pricing at least *can* be fixed easily, those other issues, less easily/quickly.

Ahh, 2 attempts with 2 different credit cards and received an unable to complete order email twice with no explanation. Guess Kroger really doesn't want my money today.

This is exactly the same boat I am in. Just paid on the 25th and my next bill on July 25th is the same. So I am guessing because we have the 1 line at unlimited we aren't getting flagged to get dumped

Yeah, their new plan pricing is stupid. Just FYI, 4/100 unlimited data is not prioritized data, whereas a 10gb/month plan is prioritized data.

This is mostly hit and miss. I purchased a bunch of GC's from Kroger last December and afterwards I was 'banned' too. If you have a friend or relative who can buy this fro you, it should not be an issue.

Yes AT&T GC should work here.

In my experience, this prioritized data is not an issue unless you are in an area where there's alot of congestion. There's alot more different nvmo's giving more different options than when I switched to Cricket more than 5 years ago. Then again, they are owned by AT&T so they can do what they want.
