I have hunted and searched, but I believe this may be the first big markdown to be seen for this product. I somehow was able to convince Best Buy support to price match for an online order, but YMMV with their support team. B&H does advise there is a limited supply at this price.

Ya know I wonder if others are like me and think for a doorbell camera, it's just too expensive. This is money to be spent towards an actual camera system and many of the competitors don't require a subscription or have a different model in terms of payment. Also the latest ring doorbell that doesn't work with an existing chime really made me shake my head. I'm pretty happy with the ring alarm but not sure I want to invest in the doorbell camera for $200. I already pay these guys for the alarm monitoring and still can't justify the cost of the doorbell.

I have their alarm, too. Do you have the Ring Protect Plus plan? If so, you don't have to pay extra for subscription features like cloud storage when adding a ring doorbell. This also works with your existing chime. I'm with you on the other stuff...I'd rather have the wired Nest doorbell, because I'm a google guy. However, I'm also grandfathered into their $100/year sub for the alarm for the next 2.5 years, so it's probably better for me to stick with Ring and keep it simple for subscriptions, apps, and payment. This is definitely overpriced AF, but the other rings are so bulky. I don't understand how even this one is so big vs the Nest or others.

Yeah, was kinda my point that even tho I'm paying for ring protect still can't justify the spend here.

I already have three Schlage electronic keypad locks, wifi garage door addon, and doorbell camera for 8+ years and here you are in 2022 still undecided. Get with the times, man. Just buy one without a sub fee if that's what's stopping you. Eufy is the most popular one here and has a 2K camera.

I just snagged one using Apple Pay for 2% cashback since it doesnt seem they are offering the Pro 2 on prime day
