This is perfect for kayak or pontoon boats, I've even used it on my stand up paddle board. I personally use the pocket size power packs for jump starting, works great. Very lightweight and portable. They also power it for a decent amount of time.

Yes, you can buy some 4S lipo to power it. Personally I'm using old jumpstarter to power it

Look at the reviews. I didn't get the lowrence for 2 reasons: 7" screen is good but will drain battery faster, so you will need a bigger battery if you plan fish for long. Secondly, I had a Garmin striker 4 for a few years and has been very happy (and with other reviews). This is a good upgrade with GPS and contour mapping, which suites of what I need if you need to go back to the area that you caught fish in.

Also the Lowrence didn't have good review, so I opted out on that one.

141 all day long in amazon. Not worth it. These traditional transducer are just junk especially you are going shallow. If you really want to get advantage, invest in a livescope or just don't buy anything
