Hey, everyone! Long time no see!
I'm back to do one of my favorite things (besides reading, of course): compiling and sharing a list of all the amazing book deals I've come across on Amazon lately.
As per, I've tried to keep this list as varied in terms of genre as possible, so there should (in theory!) be a recommendation for everyone here. Remember I always list these books in preferential order, though, so keep an eye out for the #1 spot!

Heaven Within: Restoring Wholeness For Better Leadership by Candace Mae

As all bookworms know, the whole "self-help" genre has gotten really oversaturated lately, and for that reason, I'll be honest and say I've started really shying away from the genre as a whole. However, when I first came across this book on Amazon, I admit I felt a weird kind of pull towards it. I don't know. Take from that what you will.
Well, I downloaded the book this morning (all these eBooks are FREE on Amazon, people!), and I may or may not have already blitzed through half of it. Lemme tell you, this stuff is life changing. I will admit I had some apprehensions going into it—mainly the fact that I personally don't subscribe to the Christian faith and so sorta dreaded the idea of being preached to—but don't let that stop you from reading, from annotating, from throwing yourself into, this book. It is a gem. The author's idea is that by guiding you towards a life in which you are awakened to the Truth (to her, a relationship with Christ, but I prefer to look at this as enlightenment from the world's distractions, i.e., materialism, the corporate hamster wheel, etc.), you will be able to live and heal holistically and, in turn, be able to lead, both in your personal and corporate life, with love.
This book is not only really well-written and immersive, but just feels so motivating. Like, truly. It's the kind of book that'll make you want to get up and do something with your life, and do it well. And it doesn't feel overwhelming, either. The author makes you feel like this enlightened life is not only within reach, but is waiting patiently for you. I truly can't recommend this enough. And if you are a Christian… well, this is going to become your holy grail.

Tattered Stars by Christine Cowles

Moving swiftly back into the fiction realm, we have Tattered Stars. This blurb is admittedly cryptic (and in the first person, interestingly!), but in a way that I find genuinely intriguing rather than coy. From what I can glean from it, we follow two star-crossed lovers (if you will)—star-crossed lovers in the midst of what seems to be some sort of massive family feud. And, as we know, romance books are a must in the summer months!
This book is sitting right at the top of Amazon's western romance charts, so if you are looking for gripping, heated (perhaps in both senses of the word, if you catch my drift!) romance to sink your teeth into, I reckon this'll be everything you're seeking.

Girl, Alone by Blake Pierce

Okay, you know I had to include a thriller on this list! How could I not?
This book sounds so damn cool purely because it deals with something almost all of us crime fanatics can relate to: a protagonist who is obsessed with studying serial killers, and has developed an almost encyclopaedic wealth of knowledge regarding them in the process.
The less relatable (but still really friggin' cool) part: on account of this superior knowledge, Ella (our crime-obsessed main character) is permitted to work at the Behavioral Crimes Unit… where she learns knowledge isn't everything, and that she actually has a lot to learn.

Saving Sandcastles by Meredith Summers

Not to be dramatic, but I think I've found what will probably be the beach read of the summer.
Honestly, Saving Sandcastles seems to have everything you could possibly want in a summery romance. Herein, we follow Claire, café owner who is now in competition with her high school crush (do I sense an enemies-to-lovers trope? Pleasesayyespleasesayyes), and Maxi, whose children have just flown the nest and, in the wake of her lackluster marriage, is deliberating starting over and expanding her horizons.

Secrets Hidden In The Glass by Cate Beauman

Last but not least, we have Secrets Hidden In The Glass. Obviously we're in the summer season, so forgive me for three out of five of these recommendations being romances… but then again, I'm not very sorry!
This book just sounds so sweet, and rife with all the cliches us romance-readers lap up every time! Stained glass artist Callie meets sheriff Nathan on the beach while escaping the pressures of everyday life, and… well, I'm sure we can all imagine the rest. What's a summer reading list without two beachfront romances?!
