Glad to see it's back though, thanks for the notice.
I'd go with Nuna Pipa combo car seat and stroller and then switch to a cheaper front facing car seat. Pipa is great for newborns and is only 5lb.

Seconding what someone else mentioned though, that it can be pretty warm, so make sure not to bundle them up too much. It also helped a lot once we got a newer car that had A/C in the back row.
