Maybe not, but they just implemented PS to Xbox & PC cross-play.

I picked it up at $20 and that's about the most I'd say it's worth given the amount of loot box BS they inserted into the game. I'm playing with my kids (5, 5, & 7) which it's good for, but it's really a shame they locked so much content up behind such a horrible mechanism. With that said, the kids all really enjoy it, and it's done a good job teaching them real racing controls as opposed to the motion ones in Mario Kart.

I definitely agree it feels like a PS+ or Game Pass candidate sooner than later, and the lack of an upgrade option was lame.

Fortunately, the lootboxes aren't paid. Similar to content/aesthetic unlocks in games of ole, you play the game to earn points, which you use to buy lootboxes. No real money changes hands. It's just a method of promoting progression. It'll still rub some people the wrong way, but it's not whale-bait at least.

Agreed, if it was paid, I wouldn't recommend the game unless the base game was free. The issue is as you progress, you start constantly getting duplicate vehicles instead of new ones and when you reject them, you get less coins back than the cost of the loot box. I also don't really like that it is essentially teaching gambling mechanics to kids.

Tomb Raider is a steal for $3. Sucks they left the camera invert out of Rise. It's back in Shadow but I missed out on Rise because of the camera so I think I'll pass on Shadow.

That's a shame the cameras didn't work for you because Rise was SUCH a great game! Improved on Tomb Raider in pretty much every way. I haven't played Shadow yet.
