If you are interested, BH&G is a solid budget friendly brand. Compared to Target, Wayfair brands etc. I have been happy with multiple pieces (cube shelves and patio furniture)

I'm gonna guess solid wood. Typically, medium density boards (MDF) are disclosed as engineered wood.

Looks really low, short. A coffee table should let you comfortably leave the coffee on it and grab it without doing yoga.
