Ordered one on prime day and returned it yesterday. It basically works well for 40 seconds and then starts to strobe or go into flash mode. Turning it off and on will give it another 40 seconds. In addition to the mode not working correctly it got warm to the touch. Like the batteries were over heating or there was a short in the circuit. Fwiw it's build quality isn't the best either. Felt cheap and not as durable as you might think.
Lol, WOW, I saw that entire video.... what a pile of BS. Sure it's a flashlight, it might even be a good flashlight and an expensive flashlight, but they take an overly dramatic tone as if this flashlight is going to end world hunger and save the universe !

I agree totally with jotann, the timing of this deal is perfect. Kinda even looks like this $8 flashlight uses the same or extremely similar lens as the overly dramatic flashlight. I'm in for one $8 flashlight, they can keep their uber expensive save the universe flashlight.

Its $8 my expectations aren't that high.

Pretty much everything that starts off as a Kickstarter project. Just wait for their Chinese manufacturer to sell the molds to some knockoff.
I've had my Skilhunt H03 for several years now and this looks like a fancier version of that solving problems that don't really exist.

Ordered a couple weeks ago and it wouldn't turn on from the go. Swapped out the supplied batteries and still nothing. Put in for a return but the package got tossed so its a paperweight. Lowe's has them on sale too but purchase at your own risk.

Sounds like you got a defective one. Mine does not strobe or overheat. Build quality feels decent for a $8/$15 light and I would buy me another. The magnet is decently strong and can come in handy.

"comes with 2 AA Energizer Max batteries"

That's their endgame; to get you hooked on buying more batteries.

Are you sure you put the batteries in correct direction? Head goes in first, just checking...

This, looking at the diagram on the flashlight confused me, I put it in the wrong direction, changed to other 3 pair of batteries and no go, until I decided to try to switch to the other direction, lol

Just pay the 15 and get the rechargeable energizer headlamp. Has the side ways light, and if you really need magnet, just glue one to the end.

That was one of the longest four-minute videos I've seen. It's a flashlight and was far too dramatic.

That $10 five-pack headlamps can do the same thing. If I was paying over $100 for a flashlight it would have to be really high lumens.
