Last year when they ran this promotion I bought $5000 worth of gift cards. I'd buy a gift card, add the $10 to my Apple account and then load the $100 Target gift card to my account. Once I hit the $2000 maximum on my Apple ID I would buy myself whatever Apple product I needed and then rinse and repeat. The trick for me was to buy each gift card one at a time. If I ordered a card before the previous once was emailed to me it would get canceled.

These are great. I pay for Netflix via Apple. It's like an automatic 13% off the subscription price.

Then file a chargeback with the bank for fraud.

I thought gift cards were empty and unactivated until checkout. How did it charge you and let you checkout? Did you receive an activation receipt? I always have when buying gift cards from Kroger for 4x fuel points.
Will still activate when purchasing. If you're getting a gc at the store, best to scan it before you leave and complain right there if it's not valid. Problem is the code on the outside is not matching with the code on the inside card. It's likely something up with Apple packaging this incorrectly. Been noticing this more since they've started sealing it differently a few months ago.

chrome has become a memory hog even on windows.but agree. get the bigger memory if you can. storage you can get by with external ssd's.
Better advice is stop using Chrome all together. There is no use case for it anymore. Edge and Safari are just enough.

Online they have figured out how to limit one now 😁, so got one online, next few orders immediately cancelled

Went to the nearest Target, collected 20 Apple $100 GC, that's all they had in the store, went to self check out and purchased one at a time, at the end of the day $2100 in Apple GC, $210 Target GC, and saved 5% with red card $105, so $315 back on $2100. I count 15% 😀

Now let's hope Apple puts out sweet deals this Black Friday to make it sweeter deal.

PS. I guess one could use $50 or $25 GC as well just to make transaction total $100

Did you claim those Apple Gift Cards successfully? I wouldn't celebrate before you see the actual funds in your Apple Balance.

Same here - probably why I have never canceled Netflix - too afraid of losing the discount. Of course, if I don't watch it very often, canceling and not paying for a couple of months is a better deal than keeping it and getting a 10% discount.

You can also buy gift cards in different amounts that equal $100. The gift cards come with a cool free sticker (different designs available) now in store that has the code printed on one side and a tear off seal that seals the card in the envelope. No more of that stupid exposed card number under a sticker that could be replaced.

Getting this many is definitely YMMV. Some stores limit you to 5 because of a "store policy" $500 gift card purchase limit.

Also as explained in the OP, RedCard saves $4.50 per transaction so 21 gift cards = $94.50 saved. Not $105.

Try tomorrow. It should work for multiple gift cards.
I tried just now after redeeming the first one and it got canceled. Tried with my wife's account and it worked however the target gift card got stuck on her account. Anyway to move it to mine. She hardly uses target.

I think she can forward or re-gift her gift card. I maybe wrong.

Yes you are correct, $94.50 saved! Bad math!

Yes they did ask what am I doing for so long, I told the lady making your stores sales numbers go up by $2,000 today 😁

They can't stop you from what you are doing at self checkout.

Let's hope target doesn't figure this loop hole out next time either. 😁

it's easy to get a 20% discount on netflix, there really is not reason to highly value the 13% discount any longer. you can watch it just for the months you wish AND take 20% off the months you do use it.

Yes they 100% can stop you. I previously purchased 7 at a store when I was out of town. An employee walked over, stated the $500 policy, and retroactively voided 2 that I had just bought.

Again it's just YMMV.

Also Target can review transactions made on the same card, and issue cancellations/refunds when Target gift cards are involved. They've done it during the 10% off Target gc deal that occurs annually in December because people exceeded the limit of 1 (before Target Circle started to be required).
