Totally depends on the water quality since it makes it 0 ppm. I get water at 20-30 ppm and the filter lasts almost a year. I have heard that it barely lasts a month in places above 200 ppm. YMMV
That is regurgitated junk science that you're preaching because if you actually researched the real amounts of the "good stuff" you'd realize that it is such a tiny insignificant amount that you'd literally get more "valuable minerals" from eating a single bite of enriched bread than you'd get from drinking an entire gallon of tap water. Therefore as long as you are eating anything close to a somewhat healthy diet you'll never see a quantfiable difference in the tiny amount of minerals you're missing in your water, but you'll see a measureable difference in the lack of all the bad things this filter is filtering out such as lead and all the other harmful particles and chemicals.
My results:
Tap (zip 60137) 130
after PUR filter 90
after ZW nada

i agree, the system is not perfect . . . and we can go several ways to improve it. however, you do know that you can take your water to a private testing facility . . . the point is that if you do not trust them, you have many ways to check them.

speaking about water issues . . . new movie with Depp called Minamata [youtube.com] is out.

LMAO

Amber is fossilized tree resin that has been appreciated for its color and natural beauty since Neolithic times.Much valued from antiquity to the present as a gemstone, amber is made into a variety of decorative objects. Amber is used in jewelry.

when you think that your gemstone is worth more than you, you pay the price.

Wow, I haven't seen such a whopper online. I mean, I'd expect it if Tony Fauci were posting here, but, just wow.

If fluoride in drinking water is such "miracle science," perhaps you'd like to explain why so many countries refuse to use it in drinking water? This is true for most of Europe.
The absence of drinking water flouridation in Europe is the result of population consensus, not scientific consensus.

The European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (EAPD) recommends community water flouridation.

That said, flouridation's benefit is as a public health measure. If you brush your teeth regularly with flouridated toothpaste (which is lower risk since you're not swallowing it) and otherwise practice good hygiene, you benefit much less from flouridated water. Not everyone is fortunate to have the same standard of health.

How long does one filter last? Cost can start adding up quickly.
Not sure how long they last, but a pack of two filter refills at Target is over $35.

Digital Coupon works on the self checkout at target. I was able to scan the coupon and store associate override was required which they did.

Got 4 at target. Tried Walmart a few days ago but the price went up to $40. Might give target another chance.

Self checkout with coupon from phone. I took print out but the scanner couldn't scan the code, the rep and manager then tried with phone directly and it worked out.

yep, if you are going to use ZW or RO you have to supplement. problem is that most folks don't know about that, so they may take good water and make it not so good.

same goes for people who work in at office, most need vitamin D supplement. by the time they get to your age they have many issues related to vitamin D deficiency.

the point is, checking your water and blood is very important if you want to feel young when you are old Wink
Yes! Years ago, as a young man, I had a Vitamin D deficiency and I've taken supplements ever since. So far, so good! As far as the water, I like the fact that filtering it and letting it sit for while reduces the chlorine if nothing else. Often in the morning when running fresh water from the tap, I can smell the fresh chlorine that's been added to the water. I can't imagine that's good for you, but it does kill bacteria and the like. I think living in an area with a sand aquifer probably hurts the water quality. Everything ends up in the aquifer. Many decades ago, one of the water companies had to shut down a bunch of wells, because a local dry cleaning company was dumping dry cleaning fluid down a storm drain. Our water has the reputation of being pretty bad but in truth it's probably ok. They have worked hard over the years to improve the quality and it's probably fine, but I just feel better using water that I know is filtered.

Went to target and the guy said it is target policy to not allow coupons on sale items...
I showed the target coupon policy and asked me to point out where it said that? Since that couldn't be found. He mentioned that this coupon has been altered because it was for Canada only...

I showed this thread and the pdf from it... and he agreed to one.

Too much hassle for $10, just gonna wait for filters to come on sale (which is zerowater's endgame but w/e)

If your unfiltered tap water has a tds of >300ppm, I don't think these will be economical for you. Just get a Brita or something that filters water to a good enough level. I also don't buy the argument that tds 0 waters are bad for you in the long run...it's much better if you have a balanced diet from food and supplements. Now if you travel or hike a lot, I would say don't get used to ZeroWater as it lowers your body tolerance for fair water and you may get sick even from perfectly drinkable stream water.
