It is a cheap knock off of Mr Coffee with a couple of failure points. The lid has a support hook for propping it open that came broken in mine. It isn't critical for making coffee though. Reviews indicate that this is a common problem.
Also the power button can come apart.
Not worth the $5 in savings unless you are buying large quantities of it for a rental complex or hotel. But expect complaints.
This Mr Coffee isn't built that great either.
Wouldn't recommend either for daily use.

Have a cheap black-n-decker now with LED display for numbers that is 50% dead. Can't really program the brewing for the morning anymore, so I'm in the market for a replacement that lasts.
I still drink coffee occasionally, just not at home. Don't want the caffeine withdrawal symptoms. Didn't know I was addicted until a vacation in the early 1990s. Felt bad for a few days. Never again.
