This is a book written by a doctor with a promising future who was diagnosed with cancer. It's about him and his family coming to terms with his likely death.

I found it to be very moving when I read it. Several friends and family members also read it and found it to be moving. It's a fairly short read, but well worth $2.
Despite a number of legitimate detractors, I think this was a good - though emotional - read. I would recommend.
Great book. Feel good story about the spouse of the author. Kind of needed after reading that book.

One of the good depressing books out there. Read it before your breath becomes air!

2 points. The book is good in its approach describing how he found out he had cancer and what the planning was like

My only gripe and may be for others, the later parts are peachy… as in how could you not believe in God preachy. Some folks may enjoy it but others may not.

Awesome book! Not a light read, for sure, but definitely a book that can give perspective on how precious life is. This is a book that I always recommend.

This has nothing to do with the processes of respiration or gas diffusion. Disappointed.

add the audible on top of the kindle for $8.xx - great deal considering the audible audio book alone is $24.50

This has been on my reading list for a while and turns out I had $3 of promotional credit I didn't know about, so thanks for the free book!

Good book to get some perspective.
Another one I liked (along the same vein) was The Last Lecture [amazon.com], by Randy Pausch, a professor at Carnegie Mellon who was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Both worthwhile reads.
