Not too bad, but seems about the same as the $10 ammo boxes at Harbor Freight. Not a bad deal though if you don't live near a HF and need it shipped.

The amazon one linked in the OP is 28% larger for 30% more money, so about equal. This did show me that Harbor Freight sells the metal ammo boxes though, which I prefer, so I'm going to pick up one of these [harborfreight.com] instead of either of them.

Honestly I've grown to despise the .50 cans and if I'm getting the military-style ones I'm going to get the .30 cans if I can help it; I just don't want to deal with moving a .50 completely full of anything heavy, while the .30s are more manageable.

I still have .50s back when I bought the .50/.30 can sets on clearance from Costco some years ago.

As for the amazon one in this deal... I like to think of it as a under-the-bed slider solution if you have carpet. I think that's a good and novel use for this kind of case.

MTM boxes are made in th USA. San Francisco Harbor Freight products are usually imported from China, a nation who publicly declares they want to dominate the USA.

I was sharing information about the product that is on sale vs a similar product that was brought up. The information I shared is the pivotal reason that I would buy one over the other. And many people care about where their money goes, even for deals. Why would anyone want to hide this information from slickdeals users? I think they can learn information and make their own decisions.

I was not aware of MTM making their products in the U.S. I, like most people, happen to be willing to pay more for products to keep my money here rather than sending it somewhere else. I suppose some people need the $2 more and I'm ok with that too - it doesn't affect me in any manner.
