Just wanted to point out that we got a pack of grapefruit flavor and they were dee-li-cious! Then I looked at the back of the can as saw it was 120 Calories per 11.5oz can. We'll that's about the same as a can of Coke! So if anyone's thinking that these fruity beverages are supposed to be healthier alternatives, their natural ingredients do count, but these drinks are still pretty sugary.

I know this likely a matter of taste and preference, but how does this compare to Orangina?

20 grams of added sugar, so about 5 teaspoons.

Yup. The amazon product page is wrong. Ingredients directly from their website [sanpellegrinofruitbeverages.com]:
Quote :
Sparkling orange beverage with 19% orange juice from concentrate with other natural flavors.
Water, sugar, orange juice concentrate, carbon dioxide, orange extract, citric acid, natural flavors, pectin.
Believe me - The flavor we got, the first sip I took, I was like, "awww yissssss !! So good!" And then I'm instantly suspicious, ".. too good to be true". I'd previously associated sanpellegrino with the bowling pin carbonated water. Then these other low-calorie "flavored" waters we started trying like la croix and spindrift. So I'm basically equating anything with sanpellegrino as a low-calorie bubble water made in a room that happens to be next door to a fruit factory, but without any actual good taste like Sunkist soda (I love those artificial flavors and colors) And Fanta and Orange Crush? YES, all day, yes, sign me up. When I crack open a can of Coke or Fanta, I know what I'm doing, damnit, leave alone and don't interrupt me this little bit of joy, shhhh. Go away. But sanpellegrino was supposed to be my, "well, at least it has bubbles" kind of drink. That's why I had such a "120 Calories? f that, gimme a can of artificially flavored Coke." type reaction. Plus Coke is cheaper, and I'm (we all are) a cheap bastard.
