That's a great pan, and you can't get any better than Le Creuset.

I wish I could justify spending the money, I have tons of new in-the-box enamel on cast iron already.

The only thing I would suggest to potential buyers is to get out a ruler, 3 quarts, and under 10 inches wide and 3 inches tall is a rather petite pan. The pictures always make smaller cookware seem larger.

I have this and have to say it's much too small to get any use. The size is simply too small to make anything that is worth the time to make in cast iron, like curries or stews or chilis - you're not going to want to make an hours-long recipe for 2-3 people with no leftovers. Plus, not having a lid makes simmering or broiling pointless. I mostly used it for searing stir frys, but the weight is too much to toss the food around. There are other pots, pans, skillets, and dutch ovens that suit cooking better than this specialty item...so it sets unused and out of sight in the back bottom of my kitchen shelf.

I own many Le creuset pots and this is definitely a specialty pot. Keep in mind it has no lid and requires two hands to lift.

Is the color black?

Ideal for Asian style of cooking, especially Indian curries.
Only disadvantage is lack of lid, but the handles are outstretched and otherwise highly rated.
Size is perfect for 3-4 persons (3 qt).
Contrary to typical cream interior, this has black enamel which supports high temperature cooking.
Available in multiple colors.
Made in France.

OK advantage of using this instead of a regular "Lodge Cast Iron product"
Besides the ceramic making it look purty ... does it improve anything??

I got a couple cast iron pans at Costco last week but I'm looking for something that would work for eggs that DOESN'T contain toxic chemicals. I used nonstick pans for years and never realized that they contain "forever chemicals" and now I'm trying to find alternatives. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can always try stainless steel with a little oil (if you're making fried / over easy style) or maybe with a little butter if you're making scrambles.

Those Ninja Foodi Pans are surprisingly great and aren't that expensive.

Crystal Salt.. drizzle some into a frypan along with butter/ oil before you break your eggs. Works as good as a non-stick pan.

Surely someone will come and comment about the high price of a pan. Le Creuset is considered the Gold Standard and their products are likely a buy it for life item. I have a Le Creuset pan that my grandma passed down to me. She owned it for 20 years before handing it off to me.

Stainless steel or cast iron. It takes a little bit of practice and experience, but once you get a feel for it, stainless steel and cast iron can be just as non-stick as Teflon coated pans.
