I bought these right before summer and I love them. Every couple of months I do a 6-8 mile hike and these felt great. My feet hurt way less, my Achilles didn't flare as much, and I didn't get blisters. For the price point and being a casual hiker I'm really happy with these.

I found the sizing to quite irregular on Columbia hiking shoes even with the same shoes….

And buyer beware
COLUMBIA CHARGES YOU FOR RETURNS
even when the sizing errors are their fault.

Thanks, got a pair.
Have owned a pair in the past and have liked them. Good performance for the price.

As for quality, they are good enough. If you actually use them for hiking, 9 months is a good life for shoes. In general, you should be changing them after 1000 miles anyway to not damage your feet.

Agreed. Their web site states "We provide a flat rate UPS shipping label for your return. The flat rate of $6 will be deducted from your final refunded amount." I'm gonna pass if I can't be sure the size will be accurate.

After the seams fails, the breathability disadvantages of a waterproof shoe really comes out.

On the plus side, they are really comfortable and I still wear them in the fall/winter. I just avoid deep snow and puddles.

Price is great but this pair has a quality issue. My husband wore this pair to a 10-day road trip. That was the his first time to wear this pair. In the middle of the trip, we found the blue fabric in the top line was overly worn. It looked like a hole and we saw the black fabric beneath it. I called the customer service and complained about the quality. I was frustrated that I paid over $90 to just wearing once. She told me to send this pair to the repair center but I needed to pay for the shipping by myself. Shoot! Don't buy.

Funny. I've run into the same problem with Colombia shoes in general, seam stitching coming apart prematurely. Unfortunately they are the lightest and most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.

My last two pair is Columbia shoes have been return for manufacture defects less than 6 months use. Terrible quality.
