Because they only have two "performance" cores and clock speeds are low low low to extend battery life so we are back to 2016. Also, these 12th gen chips seriously underperform in iGPU benchmarks compared to the 11th gen chips

This seems all on paper stuff. In real life use for the non-geeks and non-gamers though, will anyone even notice?

according to official page, this laptop has 8 GB (2 x 4 GB, DDR4, 3200 MHz) onboard. So I guess you can upgrade it.
