It pretty much strong arms you into buying a second knife at the same price or higher than the one listed. I'll probably think on it until they run out of stock as per protocol.
Lightning makes an OTF that is pretty decent for the price. I prefer my Lightening OTF to this Boker knife. The Kalashnikov feels so slow. I can literally open all of my other folders, manual or assisted, faster than that thing. The lightening feels a bit clunky but opens and closes fast. Fun to fiddle with it. I actually have one on the table and open any packages I get with it. Never carry it outside though, Too thick and heavy and not sure the legality, not that all the ones I do carry would be legal here.

The Lightening knives are actually on sale at Grindworx and their free shipping threshold is $49. A few of the full size are on sale for $25 and the small for $15. I may pick up a couple.

Blade HQ are dishonorable thieves. They sell "Italian" knives that are clearly from China but don't fully disclose this. Furthermore, they sell the same knives for upwards of $100 or more when you can get the same exact knives for $20-30 on DHgate. Check out popular blade forums, their dishonest practice is not new.
I've bought from Blade HQ numerous times and never any issues. If I spend $59, they usually do free 2-day air shipping and all items have arrived as advertised. As far as the cheaper DHgate knives. The reason they're cheap is because many of them are clones. Although if you don't know any, a lot of them are so close in appearance that it's easy to be fooled. They may even function well as a knife. However, the steel you think you're getting isn't what you're getting and there is no warranty because they're knockoffs.

Good deal, but probably illegal in California. Check your local EDC laws.

I've done the same with them for over a decade until they decided to be dishonest.

Here's some proof from why they're dishonest:

Go to Blade HQ, search for "Italian stilettos". Look at the AKC swinguards, in particular, the AKC 11" Roma Drop Point selling for $109. That knife for one isn't made by AKC. Second, that exact same knife can be had for $17 on DHgate. How do I know? I bought it for $17. Any AKC knife BHQ has listed under "Italian stilettos" are NOT from Italy. Read the specs on the Damascus ones. BHQ are claiming they are from Italy. These too are on DHgate for $30+. NO real Italian swinguard comes with a pocket clip. If they want to charge 600% over for a knife fine but they better dang well list it's from CHINA and that it has no origin whatsoever from Italy.

What about the other knives BHQ list from brand name companies? I'm quite aware most of the knives on DHgate are counterfeit if they have a brand name on them i.e. Microtech, Kershaw, Benchmade, etc. What if BHQ is selling the same ones as real? If they are being deceitful pawing off "AKC" knives as genuine, what wouldn't they do the same?

This was the worst knife I ever handled. On par with $30 made in China Kershaws. I specified in my Blade HQ order to pick out an example with good blade centering. They sent me literally the worst centered knife I ever saw in my life. I demanded a refund and have never ordered from Blade HQ since. Kurt, Ben, Zach and Jamie all leaving also ruined the company for me.

If you respect your time, your money, and yourself. Just stay away from this knife and probably Blade HQ in general. They're not the company they used to be. Or maybe they were never that great to begin with.

Look at the akc stamping of the bhq version versus the dhgate. They are different. The A of the real deal is an outlined A versus the dhgate one. fyi you can YouTube the term akc fake and it will show you what to look out for.

Think your comments are a little too quick to judgement without knowing the facts. Do you have both the $17 replica and the $100 bladehq version in hand to validate your statement or is it based off of your anecdotal evidence?

your conclusion could also be said about Benchmade replicas that litter AliExpress or bang good for $20 versus the $100+ genuine ones on blade hq

I'm looking for a cheap automatic, is this probably the best price point I'm going to get on one currently? I do have to admit I think the handle is rather ugly, not really a fan of the finger grips look. I was spoiled for years on the ganzo g719 got a whole bunch for 15 bucks back in the day, had a few left but all the springs finally went in them 😭
It's a great knife, heavy spring snaps it open. But if you want something cooler, there are fantastic microtech ot the front otf copies on aliexpress for about the same or a little more $.

Axial OTF is what I've found for best price/quality without breaking the bank.

Quote from sirDavid :
Any idea on what's a value OTF? I bought a Ganzo Firebird FH12-SS and love it especially for the price. Feels like a $150 knife, but I paid $30 for it.

A friend of mine showed me his dual action automatic OTF and it blew my mind.

I just looked at one of these. They say "Italy" right on the knife. Maybe the ones on DHgate say China?

Do you think anyone shopping for a $30 automatic knife is the right person to tell them they should be making their own knives? Thank you for bringing nothing to the conversation.

I also would recommend the Lightning and Lightning Elite knives that you can pick up for cheap at GrindWorks. At those price points sure it's ultra budget steel but they are extremely reliable and far better quality than anything else in that price range.

Any knife under $100 is a crappy paperweight. ( playing with my $600 Maxace Hephaestus with Timascus inlays while typing this ) don't be a hater!
My $30 Kershaw seems to cut things when I need to. Your $600 flex comment is pretty pathetic.
