From Amazon description:

Wireless Carrier
Unlocked

Operating System
Android 10.0

FWIW: Android 11 is "available":
https://motorola-global-portal.cu.../g_id/1949

If history is any guide, Motorolo is unlikely to support Android 12.

I've been looking for something smaller, but no one makes small phones any more.
I had considered a used pixel 4a, but that is quickly becoming outdated.
For the $250 and under price range, it looks like this is the best deal going right now.

I'm just wondering if I might be able to get a better deal if I'm able to hold off for Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

I'm running this on Total Wireless (Verizon MVNO) on 5G without issue.

Hi there I am using Pixel 4a it's not 5G but been using for a year I was one of the First to get update to Android 13 so it's not outa date.I do like Motorola's platform better no bloatware. 5G is kinda like 4K it's there and available but not really a big deal untill it saturates the market I see this phone being able to continue on for a while. I know exactly what you mean about no one makes smaller phones anymore that's why I got this dont like Phablets. Mini iphone line might be a option there really nice iPhone 12 or 13 mini is like perfect size.

There seems to be 2 models for this device. Which one do you have?

OP: Motorola One 5G Ace
Visible/VZ: Motorola One 5G UW Ace https://www.amazon.com/MOTOROLA-M...B09MMLPD1L [amazon.com]
Bought the "unlocked" version from Best Buy. Just switched to Verizon SIM this week. Was previously running AT&T SIM. So far my personal experience has been better on Verizon in my area, including faster speeds and seeing the 5g icon for the first time.

Good question I've never seen this before. Looking at some of the other phones a lot of them say locked now even though the descriptions suggest otherwise
Locked vs Unlocked refers to whether the phone is carrier locked to a certain service provider. Oftentimes deals posted on SDs are for carrier locked phones that are sold at a discount because they require some length of service time for the seller/carrier to recoup discount - usually 6 months, but there was a mint mobile deal recently for a pixel 6a that's carrier locked to mint for 1 year. This phone can be used on any carrier out of the box.

Paid $250 a few months ago when in urgent need of a phone. Lightly use. Let me say "5G" does show up in my ATT link. My local ATT 5G coverage is a joke, worse than 4G. Not much to say to about speed.
ATT is joke generally to say.
Their 5G is others 4G, 4G is others 3G, 3G is others 2.5G....

i believe this phone is most similar to

Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2022)

I picked up the Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) from metro for ~$72 (OTD).
will wait till it unlocks in ~ 6 months.
hopefully it will unlock and i can use on Tmobile.

Fwiw I had this phone on mint mobile and was about to jump ship from mint for very poor coverage. I switched to the moto edge plus, and connectivity on mint mobile is worlds better.
I was having this problem. I called mint and they worked me through APN settings and sent me a new sim and all of a sudden fell in love with the phone. I still have sometimes a little spotty coverage, but it's Mint mobile so can't expect perfection every time.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the AT&T prepaid phone is only 4/64GB not 6/128GB like the one posted above.

An s10e might be up your alley. They're about $130 on eBay refurbished. The same size as a 4a. Since this phone is big and just an lcd screen, maybe a new 6a with a year of mint for $339 (which I think is still available).
I feel like the 6a with a year of service for $340 is an underrated deal. Is there something people really dislike about Mint? Does the phone have some flaw? Aside from the lack of Qi charging, microSD, and 3.5mm headphone jack it seems good. And Mint is T-mobile deprioritized. I need a new phone (and perhaps service) for my mom sometime in the next few months, and that seemed workable. She does like having wireless charging though.

AT&T is a joke, but I have gotten the same experience on Tmobile with this phone, so might be the phone

I couldn't believe it. This is my first new-new phone I could afford (that didn't suck). It doesn't have the same lens as the regular Pixel 6 (like Google usually does with the A's). It has the same Sony lens they used from Pixels 2 through 5. It's still a great lens.

I am done with Motorola phone which don't have good support with updating OS, etc. Also this price is still too high for this spec. Get One Plus 7 or 7T for less.
