Mine from 2012 is still going. It won't die!
Vizio back in the day was the bomb.
The cost of electricity has not doubled everywhere.. and even if it did he could have been paying 50 cents a day prior to charge it... your also making some wild assumptions on his car payment and insurance costs

Every Vizio that I've tried or that friends have owned over the last few years has had issues with the picture going out from time to time. Sometimes the TV has to be unplugged and plugged back in to get picture back. Vizio is absolute crap. Also, think of it this way: You're getting a 75" QLED for under $1,000. You're not getting a good TV.

How does this compare to the 75" Sony x80j at BB clearance a couple weeks ago?

I've only heard bad things about current Vizios. But in 2007 we bought a 47" LED 1080p 240hz Vizio and it still works today. Idk what has happen to Vizio but YMMV

We've bought 2 Vizios in the last 5 years or so. Both have picture issues now. The first one we bought waited until after the warranty expired and after we bought the second TV to have roughly half the pixel columns go out. The second one had picture issues within a month of unboxing. White and purple lines would streak through the picture. It was replaced under warranty. But the replacement developed the same issue to a lesser extent after a while.
If you're an Apple user, some Vizio TVs do not play nice with with Apple TV. It causes a lot of delay and screen flicker when switching inputs. A specific $40 Belkin HDMI cable helps, but does not eliminate the issue.
If that doesn't scare you off, at least buy an extended warranty. You're gonna need it.

Same here I bought a 37" in 09 still works got the same model second hand both still work. I guess there quality has gone down. My girlfriend swears by them I'll get a 50in eventually for her. I go from my 65" Hisense to her 32" Vizio 😭 I can game on a tablet.

YMMV according to the tag on the shelf at my local sams (Ohio) this tv comes with a 3 year warranty at that price (not sure if thats manufacturer or Allstate). FWIW a 75" tv at this price with 3 years of coverage is worth considering the gamble. Most would be ready to replace if it breaks beyond that time anyway.

It is 3 years manufacturer warranty and good luck with contacting them. They used to be good, very good until their LeEco merger / break up.

Don't waste your time and money with Vizio.

The dude also believes Tesla "saves" you money lol
Actually we spend like 1 usd a day for charging. No maintenance needed except tires. So yes tesla saves money.

This is hilarious. Might want to do some research before opening your mouth. $700 car payment, $200-300 a month in insurance, when the vehicle breaks (and it will) the cost is triple of a regular car, access to level3 charging stations are limited, the cost of electricity has doubled in the last year, should I continue?
