I think these would be great for a beginner. At 5'4" you might want a slightly shortened club, but taking off length later is pretty easy.

I have an Exotics driver that I love and a tour edge iron wood that is my favorite fairway wood by far. My Taylormade irons are showing their age. Ugh

I wanted a 5 iron last year and got an c521 on eBay. It's forgiving and I hit it well.
