This is a decent deal and a decent entry point into pocket hole joinery . The deal here is it comes with the 2" face clamp. HD has this jig at the same price without the clamp. I've seen the the Kregg branded 2" clamp range for $20 to $30. A different branded clamp would also probably work but you'd still be paying additional for it.
A different brand of clamp (HF has some cheapies) works to clamp the jig to the workpiece, but won't integrate well with the jig holder piece that makes it super quick and easy to move the whole shebang from place to place while maintaining the correct settings.

The seller said it's not impact driver rated in the question section of amazon. So what do people use the drill bit with? Just a normal drill?
I use my impact driver with it no problem.

I've been eyeing the 520 for a while. Waiting for a deal
If you have the 520, how is this helpful? Anything particular this can do the 520pro can't?

It seems like the other brands on Amazon for pocket holes jigs are cheaper, like massca, milescraft, or mulwark - anyone have experience using those other brands? Just wondering if it makes sense to shell out for the kreg vs the other companies. I don't do much wood joinery, will use maybe once a year

I have used the one hole version(mini jig) of this on many projects
https://www.amazon.com/Kreg-MKJKI...B00065WPP2

The benefit is you can decide the distance between the two pockets but takes a bit more time to attach the clamp again.

The key is using the right pocket screw length and distance from edge. Joint is not super strong. You may need to use wood glue as backup.

May not be likely here, but I'm always concerned when I see brand name products sold by third parties (that aren't the vendor) on Amazon. The chance of a counterfeit is a problem.
That's a possibility, but given that it's Amazon's marketplace, there is at least some reassurance in the form of their return policies, as well as the nature of the product itself (some glass-reinforced nylon, and some metal bits).

Also note that Kreg is a company that appears to keep tight control of their distribution channels, and pricing.

A lot of Kreg stuff, including this jig, is excluded from promos and coupons at places like Woodcraft (I've tried), and when discounts appear, they come only when Kreg permits, or coincides with when Kreg holds a sale of its own, like now.

Additionally, Amazon doesn't sell Kreg products directly (don't know if it ever did), nor has Kreg established a Kreg Amazon store of its own, so all of the listings are by default from various third-party sellers.

That adds up to a company that keeps firm control on MAP, and selectively chooses where its products are sold, mostly the big box home improvement chains, and smaller tool/carpentry stores, and the online presence they provide, supplemented by its own online storefront.

Pattern [pattern.com], the seller in this listing, appears to have an actual physical presence (not somebody's garage, or spare bedroom), and at least manages to present an image of itself as a legitimate reseller and marketing company, albeit mostly of pills and pet food.

The question then becomes whether Pattern is selling Kreg's products in an psuedo-official capacity, with only unofficial tacit approval, or on its own initiative, and sourcing them from a middleman distributor, or worst case, a counterfeiter? Given that Pattern's pricing falls in line with Kreg's own pricing, and doesn't undercut it, or violate MAP, does suggest more of a blessed arrangement than not.

Something to ponder, but probably not obsess over for most people.

I've had my eye on a pocket-hole jig for months, with Kreg as the first preference, but have been reluctant to pay MSRP, holding out for a deal that never appeared, until a bundle like this became available again, so it was time to strike, and take a bit of a risk. Wouldn't do it with a more expensive tool, or from someone other than Amazon, but this is probably OK.

There has been better deals, but on older or discontinued models. The 320 is relatively new, so it won't see that treatment for a while.

Just watched a video on Amazon, this is apparently just two of the one hole versions connected, with a spacer in between. You can disconnect and use two side-by-side without the spacer, or use two individually. I am in for 1. Thanks OP

I actually got this exact one a few days ago and works just fine. Never used the actual Kreg jig before but it's essentially the same thing from what I can tell. piece of angled plastic, clamp, and drill bit

I live 10 miles from their headquarters and it still took me nearly 50 years for me to buy a Kreg Jig. My god, they are awesome! I have the most basic one.
FYI They were founded in 1989.

Yes. In particular, these small jigs are incredibly handy for making holes in already assembled pieces of furniture. The 520 is great if you've got the pieces of wood accessible, but this jig is great for things like table repairs, or adding additional pocket holes if you f'd during build. Personally, I got both and find uses for each.

Mine was delivered today. Appears to be genuine.

Comes boxed in "Special Offer" packaging, so it's a factory-assembled bundle, not akin to a "dealer-installed" accessory package that the seller put together themselves.

Not sure the clamp is commensurate with the $20-30 price asked for it alone, but it's nice to have, sweetens the deal, and saves a trip to HF for the locking clamps I was planning to use as a substitute.

I bought the knock off milesacraft a year ago and its great. I always had a problem spending all that money for a name brand. Believe me I pay for quality when its warranted, but as others have said, its mostly plastic so not sure how its justified paying the mark up. It's a jig so with a few skills you could actually make your own too. Peace.

I have the milescraft that you linked. It's been great and does the same job as the kreg. Only issue i have is the clamp doesn't work with the jig if you're using 2x4 boards
