Intel AX210 chipset does not support AP mode, for anyone wondering if they can turn this into a 6E router/AP. Also, will not support 6ghz in Windows 10 without a hack.

Thanks for that helpful information, I wouldn't have guessed that they had sunk to the level of removing what has been a pretty basic capability of most decent 802.11 chips for decades. I have used that feature often.

So can anyone suggest a good quality / well supported & feature-full modern PCIE 802.11 NIC chip that does support AP mode as an alternative when I want to use AP mode in a PC based router or gateway?

Nothing right now for 6Ghz. If you want a 5Ghz Wifi6 board that can do AP mode you need to look for a Mediatek MT7915 chip:

For 6ghz you need to wait for a board to come out with an MT7916 on it aka Filogic 630:

It arrived yesterday, installed it into my one year old Powerspec computer (old network card as a AC 7260) very quickly/simply. Speed went from 27-37mbps up to 197-229mbps! No problem with bluetooth all drivers installed automatically didn't need the microdisc included. Couldn't be any happier. Thanks again OP

Adendum and beware! - ordered a Fenvi network card for my laptop from Newegg as it was a couple $$ less than Amazon. When it arrived it did not fit my laptop, my fault, no big deal just return it right? I sent it back the next day in perfect resellable package exactly as it arrived however days later I get an email from Fenvi stating that of the $24 they charged me they were refunding me $4.58 total docking me for $20 return shipping costs?!?!?! WTF? They argued that this is their standard policy in fine print. Lesson to me is NEVER doing business with Newegg again, I'll gladly pay the couple extra bucks for knowing other retailers will accept returns without ridiculously high return charges.

issue is that Fenvi is a 3rd pty seller on Newegg;

so hassle-free returns doesn't apply - but the OP failed to mention that; yet he trolls NE at every opportunity

How is this different than the little Bluetooth USB dongles that you can plug into your PC to add WiFi? Is this a significant upgrade?
