I think the essential just lets you play online and gets you access to the couple of free games a month. The tiers after that are more like game pass.

I believe it'll be converted for a certain amount of days for the second tier. You'll have to look at their table for how many days you get (less than a year that's for sure) but wouldn't remember that off the top of my head

No. Extra is the middle tier. This is the bottom. If I understand it correctly, what this would do is drop your account to the lowest tier, after your Extra runs out. You also have the option of buying this and converting it to Extra, but you get less months out of it. I believe you get 6 months from this if you convert it.

The last time I bought one from them it wouldn't work and they told me because I already had a subscription but wouldn't refund me so I had to call the credit card company. I have been successful with the other site though.

I bought 3 years worth and it said for a $150 you can upgrade to the highest tier. I didn't do it but now I'm thinking about it.
