    I was recently at Universal Orlando & Islands of Adventure and the Harry Potter wands they sell there are $55+ in the parks. They are different than this one.

    Although they did have a deal to get a free wand (up to $55 value) if you bought a $300+ Universal Merchadise gift card. Not so bad considering it could be used to pay for Universal hotels, park tickets, food or other souvenirs.

    FYI the deal for the wand you mentioned is only good for the older "non-interactive" wands ($49 value) and Universal Studios has stopped selling those. This promo is how they're clearing out the old inventory that they still have on hand.

    These are good quality. They are plastic but the plastic is very thick. There's a small hollow part in the center (I.e. we have managed to break one lol).

    I hope this isn't considered spam but the best bang for your buck is searching for "ChampWe wands" on Amazon. The wands have a metal core and they are built out of resin(?) The weight/heft and feel are great. They are closer to $15 though. They aren't licensed so Voldemort's wand is called "Bone" or something.

    It's not my store or anything. I just have a kid obsessed with wands.
