The real MVP here. I was going to pass but didn't know about the significant CB offers through Sam's club and others. For a year of ad-free I should be around $20 total after CB. Thanks for taking the time to write that up!

If I purchase today and pre-pay for the year, can I immediately cancel and still have access for the next year or will I lose access? Just want to avoid auto-renewing at the full price.

EDIT: I figured out the answer to my own question. "Once canceled, you'll get an email from us confirming your cancellation. You can continue to stream until your subscription expires at the end of your billing cycle."

That means even if you cancel, you will continue to stream until end of Oct 13 2023 (if you signed up today). That doesn't address your need in any ways I think

Getting HBO max for $5 a month via direct tv stream/att tv. Wondering if this is worth getting? Don't know how long this $5 a month will last with all the mergers etc going on.
