C'mon Google, they should do a promo like this at Ubreakifix. Not everyone lives in the New York area. I want to get the battery for the OG Pixel replaced. Wonder if they do that?

Ugh are you kidding me, I was just in NYC yesterday and didn't see this until now 😒😡 my 4A 5G, that I really like and want to keep another year, has a cracked screen (and broken gyroscope/accelerometer). I wouldn't be able to make it there until 4ish and it's a 90 min journey on transit. Trying to decide if it's worth it

Same. I'm very tempted coz I have half price train tickets. But it's a heck of a journey and I'm not trying to wait in line or get sent away. Besides I have two issues with my phone (screen cracked and gyroscope/accelerometer broken) and don't want to be tempted into upgrading to a 7 or 7 Pro especially with the $300 cracked screen/$325 good condition trade in they're giving for the 4A 5G haha

I do not see this offer page in Google Maps... Did it disappear?

Also... Just contacted Google support chat online. They said "I understand, William. I have checked and I do not see any free repair options available for today as per our updates."

Not making a trip to the Google store on a wing and a prayer... This deal is pretty cryptic. If somebody has a photo of the offer on the Google Maps page I'd like to see it.

I finally got all the info. No line at all, no receipt required, just a phone number and email. Screen and battery are being replaced, and because the phone was bent, they're fixing that too somehow. Phone had to stay there overnight and will be ready by 12p.

I still think this is a pretty cool promo and timing couldn't have come at a better time.

I also don't know what it is about Williamsburg but when I went recently I went to the Apple Store after having dropped my airpod pro on the ground causing some scuffs and scratches. Told them it was my fault and manager just quickly gave me a brand new one. Bypassed all wait time and I was out in 5 minutes.

This is a great promotion to offer a credit towards the 7. But sounds like some are lucky to get new screens and batteries. Very rare and surprising. These phones aren't easy to work on.

Thanks for the post. Wish there was a direct way to call the store. Does anyone know if this is still happening and if you have to leave the phone overnight for a screen replacement?

The phones are repaired on-site. Usually takes a few hours but SD effect…
