No way a coated non stick pan will last you 15-20 years unless you very rarely use it. I used T Fal non sticks for a while, using the cheaper ones that needed to be replaced every year.

Eventually I got the anodized T Fal, while they're much better, they last about 2-5 years depending on how often you cook.
Does this non stick coating actually last? Sick of buying these pans every year.
I have been using this brand for years and the non-stick has still held up very well, even with burnt cheese. Incredibly easy to clean.

Get t-fal ultimate annodized....or whatever anondized tfal you find, excellence is one of them too, avoid amazon lots of fakes. I got one thats legit and it ended having to replace nonsticks. Should kast a good 15-20 years depending on usage...other cheap stuffs last a year or two of use.

This brand has gone from being the best to being just average, at best. Ever since they switched from producing these in France, where it started, out to China, they're not even half the weight they used to I actually know somebody who burned a hole through the pan with a gas stove. My old Tfal is great, new ones not

Generally these non sticks would not be lasting many years
Every year pretty much you may have to replace them
If you are looking for long lasting ones, try stainless steel
Though there will be little bit of sticking you can see but with the proper seasoning, they will last many years

That's is correct. No matter how careful they will eventually go out. By not using metal on it, it might last a little longer. Expect 3 to 5 years out of them. And you want to rid of them as soon as the coating start wearing off or too scratch.

Yes, decent to good stainless will last a life time.

I completely agree with this statement. My all-time favorite pan is a 13" T-fal family size fry pan 9made in France) we bought over 20 years ago. It's still in use. It's getting a little worn-out, so I looked at replacing it. The current version (made in China) is a cheap pice of poop that cant weigh 2/3 as much and feels thin and flimsy.

I had a bunch of TFal from 1996, that lasted 20 years. Bought replacement TFal, and they're crap, barely lasts, thin & warps. I'm DONE with this brand. JMO.

Well, I guess I'll be that guy.

If you look up PFAS and human beings (especially male), you'll find that non-stick pans are a big contributing factor to low sperm count and low testosterone as well as all sorts of health problems in the world. Basically you're poisoning yourself every time you heat up the pan and eat from it.

Invest in cast iron or a ceramic pan if you want to avoid that. Also use wooden spatulas.

*Insert smart ass remark about how low testosterone is a good thing for men, etc etc"

Regarding the T-fal ceramic cookware, can anyone comment whether it has PTFE or not? The T-fal reps in the Q&A say they have neither PTFE nor PFOA. The question comes up at least three times and is answered that way each time. But on the T-fal website it says there's PTFE in the ceramic. What gives?

How does T-fal compare to Circulon, Calphalon or Cuisinart?
