What an awful product. Electric bike speeds, but only a rear brake? That's a disaster waiting to happen.

Agreed, one commenter on Costco.com mentioned a top speed of near 26mph, which would indicate this is a Class 3 ebike, and a single rear braking is not sufficient. At those speeds, I wouldn't recommend anything less than front and rear disk brakes, preferably hydraulic. I honestly don't understand why the manufacturer bothered to include front and rear suspension but not front braking, it's a baffling decision that makes me distrust the company.

bought it for the same price a few month ago, no rear brake, but i get used to it.
battery is not very good, losing lots of range when going up hill. end up charging it everyday. i am sure the battery will be shot within 12 month, then i can dump it to costco for a new one.

bought one a few months back when it was on sale and didn't really like it. Rear brake pads needed a lot of adjustment and their customer service was of no help. will be returning it back to costco.

Well yeah, that's going to happen with any e-bike if you're relying on the battery and not your legs. It takes an enormous amount of energy to go up a hill compared to coasting on flat ground.

Is this bike street legal, I am actually in a market for a reliable bike which will allow me to travel between 1-2 miles I need to drop and pick my daughters to school while they bike I will follow them on ebike. Also, to go to my community center every now and then which is 2 miles away and always have a parking problem, so this ebike would resolve that issue.

It doesn't go 26mph, the speedometer is off. It seems to go right up to 20 mph by default so it's probably intentional false advertising. Either way it's fine if you're worried about legality.

The single brake is potentially cause for worry for it fails with no backup option, but in practice it seems okay. If you're zooming at 30+ mph down a steep hill you might want to consider cooling it halfway down but on flat terrain I haven't had any noticeable issue.

Thanks, I will pass on this. BTW what's the actual range on a full charge?
And I heard a few complaints about degrading battery life.

This does stop but it will slide. Not sudden. So don't expect to stop on a dime. Was fun. But mine died out of no where. And pushing this thing back home was not fun. Just a warning. Good luck. On the plus. Costco return was a breeze. A real pleasure.

I just received mine and they have added front brakes to it. So at this time, there's dual brakes.

Returned it after a few weeks. Breaks are really bad, battery seems like won't last for long. Can't really recommend
