They won't do it because they claim it's for new subscribers or those that are willing to get a new number. Otherwise, you have to switch and port your number to a different carrier for a month or two, then sign up for new service on AT&T choosing the double data plan and also you will have to wait for a new SIM card for that offer (SIM is quick though). Keep in mind though porting your number back to AT&T is a hassle and can take a few days.

Got the order confirmation email yesterday around 8 pm but no Cricket refill code as of 2:40 pm today. Are they not working on weekends? Anyone got their codes today?

The 8GB with rollover was plenty enough for my needs, and found I had service in most placed I needed to. We'll see how Mint goes, never been on a T-Mobile service before, but I had been living in rural Minnesota which was dominated by ATT and Verizon as far as service goes. I'm now in Vegas, so have more options and figured 6 months on Mint for $60 was worth the port hassle (which was really smooth). I'm down to put up with a fair amount of bullshit to save money, so we'll see where I end up after these 6 months.

Just sign up through the link posted on Slickdeals. If you are not porting and don't care about using discounted prepaid cards then there isn't any special steps. Biggest hoops to jump through involve using these prepaid cards, especially if you don't have a bank or credit card that allows you to use temporary virtual credit card numbers

Thanks. Finally got it to work this year. Failed last year after trying a couple of times with different cards. Picked up a 300, 200 and 100 card. In CA, 300 card was 264.30 final. 200 and 100 cards were 264.60 final. Shows up as "BHN GIFTCARDS".

Attempt 1: 300 card with citi card virtual number on home desktop = failed
Attempt 2: 300 card with boa card on home desktop = success
Attempt 3: 200 and 100 card with boa card on mobile at work = failed
Attempt 4: 200 and 100 card with boa on home desktop = success
No vpn used on any attempts.

Tried to purchase the $300 AT&T one. Always rejected. Purchasing a $200 one was successful. Another purchase of the $100 one was also successful. Could be that the $300 one was on in-stock.
