What do you think...this or the 360 that also went on sale for 99-30 = $69?

Not sure how the 8000 series operates, but what I don't like about the 360 is that it's one push to turn it on, and then 3 more pushes to turn it off because each push cycles through a mode, and there are three modes.

On the simple 1000 models I had prior to the 360, it was one push on, one off. Easy.

There are 2 buttons. 1 for power and 1 to cycle through the different modes.

The 360 is the lowest model that has a Lithium Ion battery. Cleaning-wise, they're about the same. You'll have to look at the 8000 series other features to see if they are worth it to you

Thanks, good enough for me. Wife and I have the 3000 right now for ~3 years, but the rubber on mine has pulled away and essentially it's ruined. I don't care about having to press the power button a few times, because my 3000 has the light and standard and sensitive modes...so what's one more mode to cycle through. Don't need bluetooth. LOL

$69.99. Just picked it up yesterday. I think it was this same price/discount back in August or so. Again, this is for the 360, and you get 3 heads (two standard, one "floss"), instead of the 4 (2 standard, 2 floss) with the Genius.

FWIW... My dentist is big on the sensitivity light, and having a standard and sensitive mode. Many people (including myself) overbrush their gums in the standard mode, and so they watch for it and encourage people to use the sensitive mode instead. All the other modes just seem like gimmicks considering there are already issues with just the standard mode.

Thanks for the info. Do you think this is the same model?

That is the model we've been using for a few years. One working perfectly, the other the rubber on the handle recently peeled away. The 360 with Li-ion battery is not the same as the 1500. Oh...and that description saying the battery lasts 2 weeks between charges? I don't think ours were lasting more than 8-9 days brand new, without even going the full 2 minutes most of the time.

You can just hold the button to turn it off

Even better...when you're using it for more than a few seconds, the next button press turns it off. You don't have to cycle through the modes except for when you're starting it up. Bought the 360 so we know this for sure now. :-)
