I am currently on XM. Service was pretty good as was the cost the first few years. Now, the coverage has gone crap (any congested area and doesn't matter how many bars of coverage you see on the phone, internet speed is horrible). Cost is not at all competitive in current market now, with either a costly $12/gb plan (only google fi is more expensive) or a $45/$30 unlimited plan based on how many users you can have. XM makes sense now only for those who have low to nil usage of data required.

You probably wouldn't be able to trade-in back to xfinity as the phone is on credits for 24 months. You would have to trade it in to another service/deal. From what I've seen, most trade-in deals don't care where the phone comes from or its lock status.
