Can't the yellow Daytona jack from HF be had for about this price? I seem to remember mine was around that in BF.

They are the gold standard for the home mechanic

Thanks, this is the kind of info we need. I guess this store is off my list from now, definitely not worth all that inconvenience in case the floor jack is faulty

Yeah, if you don't have a local store to pick this up at (and return to in case you find it necessary), I'd definitely skip this deal and look for something from Harbor Freight, Home Depot, Tractor Supply, Rural King, or whatever else might be local to you.

The yellow Daytona jack compared to the Snap-On jack was highly rated on Project Farm. My Pittsburgh low profile from Harbor Freight has served me well also.

It's one thing to perform well when new, but I'd like to see a similar comparison after 3, 5, or 10 years to see how they hold up over time. Availability of replacement parts is also important, as the seals will eventually need to be replaced and I'm not sure if the cheap jacks can be rebuilt.

I know it's not low profile, but from a current price to normal retail this 3.5 ton super duty for $160 instead of the normal $400 is a "better" deal.

"Low profile" jacks won't reach the center jack point on most cars, so I usually end up driving onto a ramp of some sort to get the jack under there anyway.

I haven't received this jack yet so I can't comment on quality, but just wanted to mention it given the $240 discount.
